Poppy Inn Gets a Lift

Poppy Inn Gets a Lift

If you’ve driven by New Seabury lately, you’ve probably noticed something exciting happening at one of Cape Cod’s most iconic waterfront venues—the Popponesset Inn is getting a refresh just in time for the 2026 season.

The beloved oceanfront tent, long known for hosting unforgettable weddings and events, is currently undergoing a full renovation—and the updates are thoughtful, intentional, and all about enhancing the experience while keeping that classic coastal charm intact.

One of the biggest improvements is the elevation of the tent and flooring. By raising the structure, the design will better take advantage of those sweeping ocean views while improving functionality and flow throughout the space. It’s a smart upgrade that blends beauty with practicality—something every great venue needs.

Along with that, the tent itself is being reimagined with a larger, more open layout. The new floor plan is designed to create a smoother transition between ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception—making weddings feel more seamless and enjoyable for both guests and hosts.

There will also be enhanced lighting, upgraded finishes, and a more defined open-air cocktail area, all aimed at elevating the overall experience without losing the relaxed, coastal feel that makes the Popponesset Inn so special.

The result? A fresh, more functional space that still feels like Cape Cod—just a little more polished.

The renovated tent is expected to reopen in May 16th, 2026, and it’s safe to say it will continue to be one of the most sought-after waterfront venues in the region. If you’ve always loved the Popponesset Inn, you’re going to love what they’re doing with it.
